The new Geolandar CV G058 is Yokohama's tire developed for drivers of crossovers, small and mid-size SUVs, as well as vans looking for reliable and efficient traction, combined with a comfortable and quiet ride. It is designed to deliver balanced dry performance with reliable wet traction and long tread life, providing a safe ride even in light snow in the fall. It incorporates an advanced CV-2 compound which contains micro silica molded into a 5 rib symmetrical pattern tread, utilizing chamfered edges and rounded rib blocks on the shoulders and mid ribs. This carefully constructed block profile increases traction on dry pavement and distributes the load, promoting longer life and even tread wear. The Geolandar CV G058 is designed to help dampen naturally developing noise to provide a quieter, more comfortable ride. Hydroplaning resistance is managed by large circumferential grooves that are constructed for efficient removal of large amounts of water from the tread. A combination of 2D and 3D sipes work in conjunction with the CV-2 compound, to increase traction in slippery conditions.
