When the auto industry wishes to honor someone special, it sure gets the job done. Many come to mind, including Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss, Shelby Cobra, or even Gallardo Valentino Balboni from Lamborghini that was dedicated to one of its test driver. This time, it’s an Aventador that Lamborghini wishes to dedicate to one of its oldest partner; Pirelli.

A long-standing partnership

Since the early 1960s, Lamborghini has only trusted one manufacturer for its luxury sports cars’ tires: Pirelli. This iconic Italian company has been its exclusive tire supplier since the car manufacturer was founded in 1963. The Aventador honors a partnership that has been standing more than half a century.

A racing car like you’ve never seen before

Lamborghini’s Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli edition has been recently announced during the New York International Auto Show. This special edition is certainly Lamborghini’s most advanced Supercar. Production of the Aventador will be extremely limited, and will be available in 6 different colors including yellow, red, white, black, pale gray and dark gray. The tires, Pirelli P Zero, will be color contrasting, where its roof will show a thin red line on a black background. Every Aventador, coupe or convertible, will all display the Pirelli logo. With its 6.5 litres, 691 horsepowers and V12 engine, the most popular sports car ever designed by Lamborghini will surely please all of its collectors.

Brace yourselves; the first production should be delivered this summer.
